GETTING TO GOA AROUND & AWAY

There are several ways to get to Goa. The easiest is, of course by flight. Goa's only Airport Dabolim, although not an international one which is well connected to all the major cities of India. Everyday flights run to and from Mumbai, Delhi, Udaipur, Bangalore, Chennai, Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram.

A few international airlines fly tourists directly in Goa from abroad during October and April. Besides that there are ferries to/from Mumbai and trains from all across India and convenient bus connections too.

Although the cost of getting around Goa has risen high over the last few years, it is still very easy to get around. Taxis or motorcycle taxis wait at every street corner or beach front to ferry tourists even a few kilometers.

The rates is as low as Rs150 for 10-15 km! Taxis are available at all day hire too at a very nominal rate. And of course motorcycles and bicycles can be hired. Though be sure to carry the necessary license, registration and insurance papers.

After the Goa trip one can proceed futher down south to the state of Kerala or preferably South India trip. Direct flights can be availed to any major destination in India.
