Amarnath Caves
Amarnath cave is devoted to Lord Shiva.
The cave is named after Mount Amarnath. The caves are
located at a height of 4000m and is in Jammu and Kashmir
state of India. The cave is covered by snow for most
of the time in a year. The temple entrance is accessible
during the summer months of july and august only. Amarnath
cave is an ice cave wih ice stalagmites. It is a holy
place for Hindu pilgrims. There is one characteristics
pillar of ice inside the cave which is believed to be
an ice lingam, the phallic symbol of Lord Shiva. Two
smaller ice stalagmites represent Parvati, his wife,
and Ganesh, his son.

Kedarnath
Temple
Kedarnath Temple is situated at an
altitude of 3584m, in the stunning mountain scape of
the Garhwal Himalayas. It was built by Pandavas at the
base of Kedarnath Peak’s South Eastern face. Another
important site that lies close to the temple is the
submerged shilling. The temple is open to devotees from
the month of May to November. Apart from the great pilgrimage
site, the abode is a paradise for trekkers, mountaineers.

Badrinath
Temple
Badrinath is one of the holiest Hndu
shrines situated in Garhwal. The town is at an altitude
of 3,133 m. above sea level, situated on the left bank
of river Alaknanda and exactly between the two mountains
Nara and Narayan. The shrine is dedicated to Lord Vishnu.
The temple was built about two centuries ago by Garhwal
Kings. It is a conical structure, 15 m. tall and has
small cupola of a gilt bull and spire. The destination
is also very popular among trekkers.

Vaisnodevi
Temple
Vaishnodevi Temple is located at the
height of 5200ft from the sea level and 61km at the
north of Jammu on the Mountain Trikuta. The distance
of 13km of terrain from Katra to the Holy caves is covered
by pilgrims on foot. The temple is accessible throughout
the year. Another pilgrimage sites closer to the temple
is Bhairon Temple
