Ayurvedic Treatment oriented program -

Modern day jet-age life-style has profoundly harmful effects on the human body in terms of debilitating stress, physical as well as mental. Also, the present day urbanized food habits, involving the continuous use of artificially prepared and preserved food greatly contribute to an increase in the level of toxins in the body. The body has own mechanism of dealing with these toxins/free radicals regularly but when these toxins accumulate over a long period of time, the excess (of toxins) leads to various disorders such as Arthritis, spondylitis, sinusitis, Bronchitis, rheumatism, diabetes, ulcers, obesity etc. The remedy to such an alarming situation lies in Ayurveda -the time tested and trusted medical system of the ancient India. As per the ancient Indian Philosophy- Ayurveda, the structural aspect of the body is made up of five fundamental elements namely-

1) Space - In a simple living cell, it is the space occupied by the cell. In a complex multi-cellular organism, it corresponds to space within the body (mouth, nostrils, abdomen)

2) Air - In a simple living cell the air element denotes the gases in the cell. In case of a complex multi-cellular organism it corresponds to movement (essentially muscular)

3) Fire - In a simple living cell the fire element regulates the metabolism processes. In a complex multi-cellular organism, fire controls the functioning of enzymes and hormones.

4) Water - In a simple living cell, the water element is present in the cytoplasm or the liquid within the cell membrane. In a complex multi-cellular organism, water is in all body fluids (blood plasma, saliva etc.)

5) Earth - In a living cell, the Earth element predominates by giving structure to the cell. In a complex multi-cellular organism, earth manifests itself in the solid structure of the body (bones, teeth, flesh, hair) and the functional aspect of the body is governed by three biological forces (called Tri-dosha) namely Vata (combination of Space and air), Pitta (combination of Fire and Water) and Kapha(combination of water and earth). Vata, Pitta and Kapha are present in every cell, tissue and organ in the human body, In every person they differ in permutation and combinations and in a healthy person these biological forces are balanced. But in daily life, many internal and external factors (even climate of a particular place or region) act upon us to disturb this balance. These disruptive factors may be emotional, physical or a combination of the two. They may be dietary, physical trauma, pollution, season or weather related or work stress - related.
