TOUR ITINERARY - KARNATAKA
Day-01 – After finishing the Goa trip, we proceed
to Pattadakal, Aihole and Badami in Bijapur district
passing through Belgaum by air conditioned cars. The
distance covered will be around 275-kms and takes 6
hrs. Overnight at hotel in Badami.
Day-02 – We shall witness Rock-cut
temples of Badami. Overnight at Hotel.
Day-03 – After breakfast proceed
to Hospet. On the way we shall visit the temples of
Aihole and Pattadakal. The journey of the day ends at
Hospet – the town at 13-kms from Hampi, the world
heritage site. The distance covered will be around 130-kms
to be covered in 4 hrs. Overnight at Hotel in Hospet.
Day-04 – We shall explore the
mystic world of the Vijayanagara Empirein Hampi. Full
day at Hapmi. Overnight at hotel in Hospet.
Day-05 – Morning we shall start
for Hassan situated at 350-kms. from Hospet. It takes
us 7-hrs. Overnight at Hassan.
Day-06 – After breakfast we shall
make excursion to Halebid (27-kms) and Belur(37 kms)
to witness the grandeur of the Hosayala dynasty. After
this we shall proceed to Mysore. On the way take view
of the worlds largest monolithic statue (of Jain Lord
Gomateshwara) at Sravanabegola. Distance covered upto
Mysore will be 120-kms for the day. Overnight at Mysore.
Day-07 – Full day at Mysore engaged
in sightseeing and other activities. Overnight at Mysore.
Day-08 – Proceed to Bangalore
in the morning. Enroute witness Srirangapatnam, capital
of the warrior - King Hyder Ali and his son Tipu Sultan.
In 1799 Tipu fought fierce battle against the British
and was defeated in defending the capital Srirangapatnam.From
Srirangapatnam we further proceed to Bangalore. Overnight
at Hotel in Bangalore. Total distance covered will be
around 155 kms for the day.
Day-09 – Bangalore – Sightseeing
at Bangalore.
