Climate - The climate in Rajasthan
can be divided into four seasons
1) Pre Monsoons which extends from
April to June and is the hottest when the temperature
ranges from 33 degree C to 45 degree C and sometimes
to 48 degree.
2) Monsoon Season extends from July
to September when the temperature drops slightly but
the humidity increases which makes the climate very
un comfortable.
3) Post Monsoon season which starts
in October and ends in December. The average maximum
temperature is 33 C to 38 C and the minimum between
18 to 22 C.
4) Winter season extends from January
to March and there is marked variation in maximum and
minimum temperatures. January is the coolest month when
the temperature may drop to 0 degree C in some places.

When to Go - The best time to
visit Rajasthan is from late October to March.when the
climate is relatively cold. During December to February,
it is cold in the mornings and evenings and day time
is lovely - warm and sunny.
What to Wear - Dress in Rajasthan
is casual. However, in the city hotels often people
change to fresh clothes for dinner. Warm clothing is
necessary in the mornings and evenings in the month
of December to March when the temperature falls down.
As the land in most of the places is dusty take a good
pair of trainers or comfortable closed shoes as open
toe shoes can be un comfortable.
When on sightseeing it is always advisable for the ladies
to be modestly dressed and the gentlemen to avoid very
short shorts.
Health - Take Imodium (strong)
or Diocalm/Lomotil (milder) to ensure your journey from
Village to Village or City to City is not disrupted
by an upset stomach. However if you suffer from diarrhea
at any time, you should not hesitate to consult a local
doctor as they are good. Sachets of Dioralyte or Electrolyte
can always be taken for a quick restoration.
