2) Monsoon Season extends from July to September when the temperature drops slightly but the humidity increases which makes the climate very un comfortable.

3) Post Monsoon season which starts in October and ends in December. The average maximum temperature is 33 C to 38 C and the minimum between 18 to 22 C.

Dialing Code - 0141 is the STD code for the capital city Jaipur.

When to Go - The best time to visit Rajasthan is from late October to March.when the climate is relatively cold. During December to February, it is cold in the mornings and evenings and day time is lovely - warm and sunny.

What to Wear - Dress in Rajasthan is casual. However, in the city hotels often people change to fresh clothes for dinner. Warm clothing is necessary in the mornings and evenings in the month of December to March when the temperature falls down. As the land in most of the places is dusty take a good pair of trainers or comfortable closed shoes as open toe shoes can be un comfortable.

When on sightseeing it is always advisable for the ladies to be modestly dressed and the gentlemen to avoid very short shorts.

Health - Take Imodium (strong) or Diocalm/Lomotil (milder) to ensure your journey from Village to Village or City to City is not disrupted by an upset stomach. However if you suffer from diarrhea at any time, you should not hesitate to consult a local doctor as they are good. Sachets of Dioralyte or Electrolyte can always be taken for a quick restoration.
