3. Western Ghat -
Trekking & camping at Western ghats of India can
be divided into following two depending on the zones
-
a) Trekking along the Grassland of Western Ghats at
Munnar - This will be a stretch with starting point
at 18km from Munnar. The trek from an altitude of 4500
feet gradually goes over 8000 feet and passes through
mountain streams which criss-cross the area. Guides
and porters will accompany. The area also has wildlife
notably elephants, tigers, sloth bear.
The camp is set up approximately at an altitude of 6500
feet. Stay will be in comfortable Alpine tents where
good quality sleeping bags and sheets are also provided.
As the temperature goes very low in the month from November
to February , warm clothes are recommended.

b) Trekking in the Periyar Tiger Reserve
- At Periyar camping will be in the heart of the tropical
rainforest, where the bio-diversity will mesmerize you
and the wildlife& birds are abundant. This trekking
can also be considered as a wildlife tour.
Trekking along the Periyar Tiger Reserve is one of the
most relishing wild life tours in India. Thus our specially
designed treks are aimed at those serious trekkers as
