Kanha National Park
Location - Mandla district of the state of Madhya
Pradesh having area of 1940 sq. km. approximately. Nagpur
city is the nearest airport at about 265-kms. Nagpur
in turn is connected to Mumbai by domectic air liners.
Flora & Fauna - Tigers are the major attraction.
Jungle cat , hyena, Langurs and sometimes leopards can
be spotted . Sal trees are mostly available along with
the Bamboo forests.
General Info.- The Madhya Pradesh State Tourism
Corporation operates a Jeep Service to go around the
park. Resorts are available for stay.
Wildlife viewing - The best way to view the wildlife
inside the park is Elephant Safari.
Best time to Visit - November to January.
Note - Tourist information can be had from the

Ranthambore National Park
Location - This National Park
having area of about 394-sq kms. is situated near Sawai
Madhopur in the state of Rajasthan .The nearest access
point will be Sawai Madhopur Railway station in the
Eastern part of Rajasthan which is 11 kms. from here.
Nearest airport is Jaipur situated at about 145-kms.
from here.
Flora & Fauna - The main attraction are Tigers,
Wild Boars and Leopards. Old Banyan tress, Pipal and
Dhok tress are available. A few places are having evergreen
belts. The forest is mainly dry deciduous tyoewith Dhok
as mostly found among trees.Sambar, Chital, Mongoose
are also found.
General Info - This park is
famous for photography and offers wide diversity of
flora and fauna. In other attractions Ranthambhore Fort
situated in the heart of the Park is worth seeing.
Best time to Visit - October
to March.
Bandhavgarh National Park
Location - Situated in the Umaria
district of the state of Madhya Pradesh is the thickly
forested Bandhavgarh National Park having area of about
436 sq-kms., encircled by Vindhya mountains. Khajurao
is the nearest airport situated at about 235-kms. Alternatively
nearest railway station is at Umaria which is on the
Satna track.
